if=theater and 1st Interview!

I just had my very first artist interview!
Check it out at Liz's blog primoriginals

Her work is lovely and inspiring, I especially like the art pendants in her esty store.

Thank you Liz!

Here's my Illustration Friday offering

I have an optional title "Stage Fright"
which applies to me and my life in so many ways. They say all the world's a stage, that's unfortunate for me

  1. Great interview. I'd like to see some of your older stuff (I just found you so I missed it.) I know I've been thinking about the issue of stylistic consistency since Jess Gonacha brought it up on Treasuring. I don't know if I'm consistent at all.

  3. Lovely new painting. I understand the stage fright about life. I deal with that myself. I can never muster up the confidence I wish I had in certain situations. I guess that's why we paint....

  5. Hi Sarah
    I love this piece!! Congrats on your interview.
    I received my pieces and I love them. I can't wait to hang them up. I'll post pictures on my blog when I find the perfect home for them.

  6. Oooooh--this is absolutely lovely! I love all your figures, but this one especially, because she's more off to the side, and at an angle, rather than being planted firmly and squarely upright, and partially hidden behind the curtain, which is swaying, and her body has those waves in it--all of which contribute to feeling her insecurities. Wow!

  7. By the way, I really liked the interview, and what you had to say about wanting to try everything, and interpret everything for yourself. I've only been looking at your work for about three months, but it seems very consistent to me. When they pop up on illustration friday, I always think "oh good--another Sarah piece"--they're instantly recognizable. And I think it's good to always experiment. You're GROWING!

    Sarah if you ever consider doing an online class I would be interested in taking one from you! Would you get class credits from offering an online class?
