trio

bid here

today was uneventful,
I almost got my daughters hair cut.
She has mad, mad, curly hair and I am at a loss as to what to do with it.
I want it to be long so we can do pony tails and such, but it is such a frizzy mess right now I feel I need to get it trimmed and maybe the stylists can advise me.
I'm not complaining, I love her hair, I just need to learn how to take care of it.

I love paintings with three girls in them...

My mother always told me that because my hair was curly it would never grow long. At 15 I thought I would give growing it a go and I have never had it short since. I think the hair dressers will probably have a few good ideas.

It seems that it won't grow long, because it just keeps curling up on itself. Her hair is down her back when it's wet, but when it's dry they are just tight little ringlets

I have very fine hair; once when I was little I refused to brush it. My mom threatened to cut it off if I didn't take care of it. I didn't believe her. So one day she sat me down, put it in a pony tail, and chopped it off!

that's some tough love :)

ok sarah you will probably not believe this but i know a woman whose daughter had tangles and frizzy hair like mad. she could barely get a comb through it. she bough mane detangler at a pet coop for all anilmals and it worked! she never was without ever again. this is a true story!

how funny!
we aren't there yet. the spray detangler for kids works fine so far, and smells yummy

My son has frizzy curly hair... perhaps not as curly as your daughters, though. I use my own smoothing creme on his hair, and try to shampoo as little as possible because it dries the hair and makes it worse. Also, don't brush when dry as it confuses the curl pattern. The detangler sounds good, and use a wide toothed comb when you've got the detangler on to smooth it out.

Oh, I like the painting, too. I like that stripe pattern. It inspires me to use stripe pattern of my own in a painting. I love patterns, but sometimes am not adventurous in using them in my art.

As a person with frizzy curly hair, I totally understand where you're coming from. OMG did I struggle with my hair when I was growing up. and my poor mum wasnt sure how to handle it either! I learnt myself how to cope with it. Lots of detangling cremes and conditioners and only brushing it when wet worked for me. Otherwise use fingers to detangle the hair when its dry. Hope this helps:-)

i'm going to try this with my daughter, too.... only brush when wet... maybe in the morning before school I will have to spray it with some water and brush it? can't send her to school without doing *something* to it!
