modernity

this piece is really making me happy.

it incorporates a lot of what i love:
i got to collage
throw paint
do portraiture
have things complicated
have things simple
leave something to the imagination

Dear Sarah,

I found your wonderful site - exhibition - by the help of my friend @miro. What a delight, what a pleasure browsing your pages seeing your wonderful art.
There is something in the soft expression of these (mostly handless - strangely reduced to being head on sexless bodies, childlike, simple unshaped forms) - that speak to me nevertheless, tell me stories about life and that nothing is simple and nothing looks as it is... there seem to be hidden novels behind every innocent glance of those overwhelmingly pure eyes...
Very impressed real art is rarely to be found - but here I am - and very close to it!

Another question:

how large is
M o d e r n i t y
and how much would that cost?
I enjoy the bleak emptiness behind the figure and her little hand holding a string of something - who knows what?
Her eyes, they are looking right through me, although they seem not to see me, full of astonishment and ...resignation!
I love it!

This is really a wonderful piece, Sarah! There is something sweet and wistful and carefree about her face. It's just lovely.

I like the strength in her face. She reminds me of Russian posters. I would love to know what she is holding!
