there is an air of anticipation about this painting. like the fields are ripe for planting, she is dreaming of summer blossoms, or perhaps someone is meeting her in this seclusion...

I've always loved the combination of pink with coral and orange. Here the scheme contributes to the mood of joyous anticipation of summer. I also especially like the juxtaposition of the graphic newsprint against the delicate, feminine colors. You have a gift!

I just love this picture! It jumped right out at me and reminded me of my girls when they were small! Pigtails and bows. Two of my granddaughters ages seven and nine still wear the big bows!
